Went to the day out on my own as I am fairly new to the trf and need practice hours on my bike . As a relative newbie I found the day out really well organized and as usual the trf guys running the show very busy but very helpful. I had previously agreed to buy an MT 43 from the somerset boys at cost, very good of them. They even fitted it for me at the day out so MASSIVE than you to Keith and Martin. I get the distinct impression that people who are generous enough with their time to give to these events are really decent, helpful people who I am keen to befriend.
Saying that, I work away so I am not always that available, but I have a van and a chainsaw so if anybody needs my help clearing lanes etc, give me a buzz, if I am free I will help.
Getting on to the day one word sums it up WET.loads of technical trails, wet tree roots and slippery slopes with off cambers, great fun. The pit area looked like one big Turkish bath there was that much steam! I was trying to play spot the man who had a pint the previous evening but everyone was sweating that much it looked like an AA drying out clinic.
Well, a big thanks to all, I hope STRF made a few quid, I loved it and can't wait for the next one.
