dropped my satmap in the gloop at  180-052 one of the guys jumped in to lift the bike up, i was sinking and the bike was on the edge of the bank slipping in.

Was a good day out guys thoroughly enjoyed myself and felt like I was getting a little more intune with the bike, some great scenery around Lee Bay and a lot of standing water. Bloody shame about Brownie's Satmap, but even if we found it, it was not going to be leading us anywhere soon. Great company and look forward to something similar soon. Some pic's from graham the roving reporter.

Great set of pics there and great vid too. Shame I missed it (although did have great fun getting out in the kayak again).

How did the SatMap actually detach??

Cracking days riding - despite all the interruptions. Cracking pictures to.

Nice style at 3:50 on the vid wink And at 2:30 I wasn't stopping cos you did Brownie! hmmdisbelief That was a steep and tricky climb (180-063) Good 'ol MT43 aww

180-022 at Shortacombe was the one where it's a private road / footpath so gunna have to get the notes on the overlay to read 'Dead End'!

Also, although we didn't ride it cos we cut the route short, I note that our route went under the A361 at Riverton linking 180-196 to 180-073 but the note on the overlay for 196 says it's not a Bridalway that links the two lanes under the A361, so good job we did't get that far aww (you'd have to question why they'd do that though when you're talking less than 50yards!!???? disbelief)

I've just moved in with my parents in ilfracombe while we buy and renovate a new house, i know even less about the lanes in North Devon than i do the lanes around Exeter. Any chance of a list of the lanes you did for when i get a chance to go for an explore myself.

Seems Collard Bridge collapsed Dec 2012, so you can't have ridden that route "about a year ago" Brownie wink

(sorry, cant do the web-linky thing cry)

Well, the conditions were somewhat drier on that occasion!!! That corner at 3:33 was wet and slimy on Sunday and track past the water trough at 4:16 was very rutted, boggy and slippery and nearly had me off hmm

You can get a set of the overlays if you are TRF member.  One of the big advantages of joining!
