practice for A2E

Had a practice run for the A2E

Riders Me leading, john Harvey and Olly taking up tec

Started at Woodbury at 10am

127km from the first to the last lane, one del boy (me) and a badger a piece to the other riders. Weather started of good and finished up awful. My bikes solenoid packed up before we got out of the car park, so did not bode well as I have no kicker on my bikecrycry. Only stalled the bike twice in the lanes, once in a very big, deep muddy puddlecry managed to get out and bump itsmile and the other times were planned stops on the bike, so not to bad and john was getting good at pushing my bike by thenbiggrinbiggrin Can't tell you all the lanes that we rode, unless I spend an age going through it allno But we had a great time, first headed to colaton Raleigh, then to the view point lane, route of all evil? Where Olly went to work on a fallen tree. Onto a great lane 192-168? is that the one were you ride through the river and into a deep rut? I liked that one!

Had my del boy at the top of 192-156 which is a great dead end lane, well worth doing, then onto the lanes around bulverton woods, is this were john had he's badger? and Olly laughed so much he did not see the badger jump out, which got himbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

More lanes until food stop at beer, great pasties from the deli and nice young lady servingsmile

Will ty to add photo, but I have put htc sync on my computer and cant seem to attach a photo from thereconfuseconfuse only took one anyway, as the phone was plugged into my bike doing sat nav duties!

Which worked really well, Viewranger being my choice of mapping, clear to see my route and has all the legal lanes on there as well, so if I needed to add one in I could and then review the run after through trackingsmilesmile Works really well (ahem now!)

Then on we went to colyton area, heading towards watchcombe, before moving on towards 192-082. Where was the deep muddy puddle? Olly had left us by then, we met another rider on he's own, but we had just got my bike started, so could not hang around to see if he got through the muddy puddle. From there we took in some tarmac to get to pin hill few more lanes and onto tipton st john more lanes to newton pop and back to woodbury.

Finished at 4pm. Then to the pubwinkwinkwink

Hope you enjoyed that, as it is my first proper run reportsmile

Great route you worked there Steve smile

I enjoyed that a lot, much better than our first attempt when just about everything that could could go wrong, did go wrong!!omfg.gif
You can see from the photo that I'm happily sitting on the old public latrine toilet.gif thoughtfully provide in Beer!

Looks like you won't be sending out any more smoke signals when you've fixed your wiring flame.gif
