Going to take bike over to France next weekend,is there any thing I need to do or take,as I know they have some odd laws over there?thanks you any info.
Warning triangle and a Euro sticker on your crash helmet - ask Brownie
Ha ha ...but no.
Where are you riding?
If you're staying away from main areas and cities then just stick a Euro GB badge on your plate (unless it already has one), probably want a mirror and make sure you ride with your head light on.
No need for a breath tester kit last time I checked, we didn't take them.
If you're riding busy areas (road ride type touring) then you might want to fit the permanent (large & ugly) reflective stickers on to your lid, might want to use your oldest least favourite lid as well.
I go over a lot and have never put a reflective sticker on my Lid and have never been stopped
A French friend from the Africa Twin club who was commissioner of Police did tell me that you must carry your Logbook and certificate original's (not Copies)
Also if you get caught speeding and you are over the speed limit by 50kms they will impound your bike (untill someone to ride it home, take your licence which they will post back to England and fine you)
You will love it over there great roads .....empty roads Have fun
