On Call from today for a week so yesterday was my last chance of a ride for 7 days
I had a day off as I had planned to take a novice out - but he could not make it anyway as I the day off I didn't intend to waste it Lone adventures on the CRF are now becoming a weekly event and got to say I'm having some of the best rides I have ever had
A short vid of my day.....
Note the young hikers and the fantastic views half way round one lane in there at the end I won't be riding for a while as it needs to recover from the 4x4's got to say was disappointed by the lanes of pain, far to easy now!!!!
Just look at those views
And for anyone about to comment on the sign, this it what it says on the other side
I was so high by now I think I was suffering from altitude sickness
Few more shots of the views as they were 'worth it'.......
Not many words for a report - but the pics and vid tell the story of another fantastic day!
I never expected 'wacky's lane' to become so wide after i cleared it all those years ago, just to think you couldn't walk down it then
I know what you mean about bulldozer lane, real shame, i have expressed my concerns at the local P3' meeting about the condition of this UCR as it was them who paid for the works, i still wish the work was never carried out as i use to love the challenge
I can see hardcore tipped in this lane soon to help ease the ruts, or is there any other way to help avoid the surface getting more eroded?
Though of offering to clear the easements to try and be seen in a positive light
nice to see some solo Green laning! We all know it can be risky, but sometimes it just has to be done
Just don't go bonkers, make sure the phone is in a pocket you can reach with either hand and its fine if Nick can do 6000 miles across the states then I can do 60 miles around East Devon
Great to see you seem to be really enjoying your riding Jon.
Perhaps we should all try a completley different bike for a while, just to shake things up a bit.
Hmmmm...............
Yep - re enthused and just can't stay off the Honda - more confidence means more rides on my tod, at my pace going where I want, when I want
Yes the bike change was the 'key' but there is more to my new found enjoyment than just that - doing what I want instead of dong it 'for others' all the time has made a huge difference also. Taking the time to enjoy the 'whole experience' rather than having to focus on 5 other riders and their needs and expectations makes a world of difference.
Noted your recent interest in a 2 stroke on another thread -would have offered you a test ride on mine, but.........
