I would suggest you attend the Dolphin meeting to introduce yourself. Its a good format and the TRF have their own area to discuss matters (including introduction of new members) and then socialise after. This meeting starts at 8pm (as far as I remember - its been a while since I've been to one).
The White Horse meeting is typically more an East Devon TRF social gathering in an already busy pub, so unless you knew who was who, you probably wouldnt gain a lot from the experience - apart from if you are not driving and enjoy the beer.
Quite agree, come along to the Bovey meeting. Several people turn up early to sample the excellent menu then go up to the function room for the meeting. These are supposed to start at 8 but everyone's having such a good time it rarely does (I dream of an 8pm start ).
The meeting starts with a quick introduction then goes through officers reports. How long these take depends on whether there is something happening locally or nationally that needs the group to discuss. Any other business follows then the meeting is over & the socialising can resume.
I hope to have the 'serious' side done within an hour.
Hope to see you ( & plenty of others, members or people just seeing what we're about) at The Dolphin soon.
ive had a letter from the trf with my membership card is that the welcome pack is it.
thanks for letting me know ill come along to the dolphin at the next availible time
