lane clearing tools

as i am new to the dtrf im going to join you lads soon in a cleaning op im wondering what is your prefered method of doing so

what tool gets your vote

my first choice was a 24" machete went to buy it and its out of stock great

so come on lads share your veiws

Dean really appreciate you joining in with lane clearing as it raises the profile of the TRF to another level! It's also a good way of getting to ride new lanes and meet other members.

I'm sure everyone will have their own favorite lane clearing tool, I've a set of telescopic loppers that I can carry on the bike and a folding saw is also useful.

yes john i totaly agree with you ive been wanting to get out for a while now to meet and get involved
ive got myself a folding saw ill have a look at the loppers thanks

i use one of these if i am driving the car to lane clearing (slasher)

 I do and its brilliant ask big Mike wink saw isn't great (have my folding one anyway) but having such a long blade is a boon for the high up stuff and it looks real cool biggrin

i did order one a while back but it was out of stock i bought a 26" machete off of ebay that should do the trick plus the folding saw

You can get a machete from Tragos garden department for £2:58, Bargain.
