Planning a rideout over Christmas and a fellow member would like to ride his quad instead of his usual steed!
Before I put a route together can anybody suggest lanes to avoid? Not bothered about difficulty because if he gets stuck it will aid in our ammusement but it needs to be achievable for an experienced rider.
Only doing lanes 192 so any advice would be grand.
Cheers
Dan

Thats a big ask, suggest you get out and do a recce before hand. If you have the overlays you can check out the lane description to help you but it is only a guide and a shack commented the weather does change the state of lanes.

braver man than I, but yep as usual I'd suggest listening to Doug, from memory some cheeky little numbers can change a fair bit with all the rain (and tractor movements) heck it's an excuse for another ride!

Which is one reason we ask that a Run Sheet and or Track Log is submitted for ALL runs with comments on the changing nature of the lanes. These are then fed back into the Overlays to keep them as current as possible.
Writing a run report for the forum used to be part of the fun of the day out, emailing comments about lane condition and the latest Nimby tactics made for a great read, and helped others plan their route.
The Run Sheet contributes to the Archive of Runs which is the mechanism the TRF devised to prove usage so is an essential weapon in fighting closures and downgrades.
A Run Report tells the forum what a great time you had. A Run Sheet helps to ensure you can keep doing so.
The run sheet is sent with all the info on to help others via the lane comments, and to assist in sorting out lane clearing etc etc. I was just staying using the run sheet is a good basis for writing a fun report to share with all.
