Eventually got to go out on a short ride on the CRM after its rebuild and managed to get it a little wet and muddy, just a few lanes between Ivybridge and down to Yealmpton and Plymouth as only had a couple of hours whilst the two ladies in my life went Horse riding, got home and adjusted the rear shock as it was wound right up (SORRY DIESEL DAVE YOU MUST BE A LOT HEAVIER THAN ME) now feels a lot better.
Followed a lot of tracks on most of the lanes.
but decided not to risk the ford as I was on my own waded across to take a look as was quiet shallow until the last bit also the bridge was closed as a shiny new one is being installed
Nice little write-up and pics there Russ, CRM's looking good too The crossing at Yealmpstone seems a LOT calmer and shallower than the pics I showed you the other day, I think the water was almost touching the bridge!
Where's the lane in the first pic? (Give me a description not a number due to no MM at present )
The first pic of the tyre marks is the top of 194 Geoff the one with lots of tree roots across it opposite the TRO,d lane, where I ended up in the hedge halfway up as the 2 smoke lost traction on the slippery roots then gripped and sent me into the hedge ( 4 bangers are so easy to ride) The river crossing was only about nine inches deep as I waded across to take a few pics and wished I had put my sealskins on as my feet were soon wet but the last ten foot soon shelved off and wasn't gonna risk it on my own, had been quiet a few people through either yesterday or earlier today though.
