well I am taking my 9yr old up to Brtton Court Saturday - really looking forward to it
Then going again Sunday for some 'me time' !
see you there Mark !
Hoping to be there Sunday too - looks a bit scarey for a blatter like me though! Might bottle out at the last minute....
Bratton Court is nothing to be scared of Jez. The quick guys can go go quick, but you don't have to if you don't want; there is plenty of room to pass all the way round. Only 1 small jump that I can remember (easily rolled) and a couple of hill-climbs that might be a bit 'sporty' in the wet, but there is a go-around.
Awesome day - glad I didn't bottle it!!! Have to fess I did find it pretty challenging though - feel like I've been through a washing machine cycle about now.....
Managed 6 laps - 30 miles. But they were pretty intense miles!!! Even started catching people up on lap 2, and by lap 3 people were pulling over for me to go past - very flattering for a 300lb old git like me!! Hopefully will have recovered in time for Ottery in September....
think we managed 9 or 10 laps, my first time there.
it was a great day. I too feel a little crackered ! the steep drop off / ledge near the start was fun :-0
the hard section hill climbs weren't too bad, you could get a fairly quick rhythm going through most of it - the Kiwi was flying, I couldn't keep up with him in the afternoon !
arm pump had me after the first lap but after it settled down wasn't too bad - but my grip / tendons feel the strain today.
definitely worth the travel up & I'll be going again.
great day, worth the effort, recommend to anyone to try as not too challenging if you take it easy, definetly got a good work out for the day, and now paying for it. Will be going again when on.

9 or 10 laps?? That's verging on heroic from my point of view!!! And yes, that drop-off was scarey.....
I had a word with the organisers about publicity ; turns out they were concerned about "treading on our toes" so hadn't pushed the event with TRF. I told them don't be daft, let us all know it's on because at the end of the day most of us just love chucking our bikes down muddy tracks!! I'm dead chuffed that Biff tipped us off.
Sounds like a good day out 😥 would of liked to go but camping with the misses was promised and I've already changed plans to attend done of there days.....
They do like to put the odd part in to push you abit further than most but as a whole the tracks seem well payed out and nothing is past the bikes ability
