Buy some Poteen n never forget the phrase "I'd like to thank you for your kind hospitality" many english folk have forgotton the appreciation of words but the Irish, being raconteurs, revel in the use of words.

Enjoy your alienation and have a great trip Paul smile

the PBC told me to say - " don't mention the Scottish play Steve".

 Very true!

I caught part of Drive Time on BBC Radio2 earlier tonight & heard an interview that Simon Mayo did with Irish author Marian Keyes, which illustrated the rich use of language, perfectly

available here

(from just over half way in, around 01:07:00)

Fascinating!

Anyhow,

have a great time & enjoy the lanes of the Emerald Isle
