I went to their open day a couple of weeks ago and test rode one, within minutes i knew that it wasn't for me as the low speed throttle control was shocking, it was either on or off, I thought it spoilt a very quality bike. Shame because I had set my heart on buying one.
Hopefully its the mark two version of the kymco engine fitted to he husky te449/511 as the earlier bmw fitted version was plagued by output shaft weakness. Also i hope they tame the power a bit as its areal handful in mx or enduro trim.

I don't know why bikes have so much difficulty with FI - the technology has been working perfectly on cars since it was introduced.
My only experience so far with M/C FI was a VFR800 Vtec, and although it was very good whilst powering if had a definite ON/OFF effect when going from coasting to powering.
A lot of manufacturers fueling is set for emissions and can in some cases be transformed very easily.
I'm surprising myself to say, I don't even notice the fueling on my road bike.
My triumph is the first bike I have had with FI - TBH if I had a choice I would have had carbs simply as I'm old fashioned - however I have to admit it's very good and is super smooth.....did have a slight stutter when new but was sorted at 1st service in a jiffy by a man with a laptop :-/

Go try one yourself and see what you think.
