Motorcycle Parking In Beer Part 4 Important Info

Heads up from Beer Parish Council concerning the Car Park at the bottom of Beer Street, with information from EDDC and DCC

There is a road traffic order in place, and has been for many years concerning the above mentioned small car park.  This order only relates to cars and other small 4 wheel vehicles using it.  Technically it is an offence to even ride a motorcycle into the carpark.  If you do park there and put a ticket on your bike you are still parking illegally outside the provisions of the road order and your bike can be removed without warning.

DCC who apparently own the bit of pavement bikes used to park on, do not allow parking pavements.

So now you have the Info. Don't complain if you get a fixed penalty or your bike gets towed

Many thanks to TRF members who could have helped by putting a complaint into EDDC ie nobody bothered, so now we are stuck with what we have

I have no doubt some whinging sit on there arse prat will have something to say on the matter. Pity you just let others try to sort the problem out

Oh and the Traffic Enforcement Officer has been instructed to keep a close eye out for infringements.

How about the local residents and shop owners, did they not put in any formal complaints?

 Me wound up?

No mate - given up now - can't be arsed as the lunatics have well and truly taken over the asylum so I'm just trying to enjoy life before the country disappears up its own backside and collapses under the weight of paperwork, bureaucracy, bull**** and over complicated systems and processes put in place by all the 'clever people' no

I concluded a while back that with a few (very) exceptions I hate humans. I started spending more and more time on my own and find I'm a lot happier for it As I suspect are a lot of humans

I'm with you JT,  I shall away to the engineering hermitage, where I can enjoy dealing with inanimate objects, laws of mechanics and physics, and not have to deal with the common or garden eejit.   Kettles on if you or the select few want a brew and a chat.  Must away and retrieve a large regulator from the pup, who is taking a great deal of interest in things mechanical.

The people carrier is owned by the Nimby who got the bikes banned, because she doesn't like anything obstructing her view of the sea, when she is sat outside obstructing the pavement with her deck chairs, plant pots etc.
