Devon TRF solo raid on Hampshire

Hi All

I have found myself with a day to kill in Hampshire, so I was thinking of taking my bike (solo) with me.  Does anyone have any info on the lanes nearby Portsmouth or north of it up on the downs.  I am dropping my misses of at 0900hrs and picking her up at 1700hrs so have plenty of time

thanks Trev

It was great thanks, I used a combination of your route and another one someone sent me.  I went from Horndean up to Alton then rode back via some lanes but it pissed it down on me so I binned it and legged it back to the car.  The chalk was very slippery but overal I had a great day, will definitely come back, as I have all the downs to do.  Thanks for your route and offer of help, it's made me think that I do need to get away from Devon more.........whose up for it next time I travel up there?

cheers Trev

I don't know to be honest, I went up and the big hill with the tro on it, through 5 ways (very muddy) and down a deep rocky bit with some big lumps of rock and tree roots everywhere.

I would be up for a weekend up there camping on the Sat night. Trailer the bikes and ride Sat etc then a few beers and chill Sat night when its a bit better weather as it would be fun

Butser hill TROs for 4 wheeled vehicles only, same for 5 ways. rocky ruin is the track with massive rocks to pick your way through.
