Hi, I am after a bike that I can trick up as I have a theme in mind. Although I am not brand predujice normally but I am after a honda for ease for colour theme.
I have noticed a few Honda Crf250's online, will I be right in thinking these will be 2 underpowered for road use? any suggestions will be a real advantage please
Gearing is the issue, not the power.
CR250X has a wide box, suitable (ish) for the road.
Best bet for supermotos, IMHO, WRF450 Yam (alloy frame on). For longevity, best motor by miles!
Simple to upgrade to YZF tune with no loss of longevity.
With suitable gearing will easily top 100 and still allow you to come off roundabouts absolutely sideways - I didnt do that.

The new Husky 701 looks awesome too, which is basically a 690 SMC with some changes. I've just added it to my shopping list I also read that a French firm is taking some Honda bikes and "SuperMoto-ing" them and selling them as road legal bikes.
