LAST DAY FOR AGM PROXY VOTES URGENT

Not sure if anyone is attending the coming AGM but if they are not and you have not already done so please take a moment to print off the form, fill it in and scan it so you can email it across today.
Plans are afoot  to change how the trf is run with some despondent members supporting a complete clean sweep and total change.
They are intending to vote off the entire board of directors and replace them with others who wish to make sweeping changes, returning the TRF back to the disjointed organisation it was years ago.
They have campaigned saying one thing (that they wish to remove 1 or 2 directors) and now have released their real intentions having secured large number of proxy votes based on their original statements seemingly now to use them to further their own (up until now) hidden agenda.

In laymans terms this is "brexit"  they wish to change the whole organisation but have not actually thought through the consequences or formulated any kind of coherent plan should they succeed.  In light of this it will be better for every member if things remain as they are and change is discussed and phased in using the correct means, rather than this bulldozer approach.

Whilst I'm not one to object to valid change (infact I can sort of agree with some of their points) but the way this is being proposed is in my mind under hand.

The perpetrators of this have only shown their cards yesterday leaving no chance for proxy votes to be cast by post and leaving email now as your only option.

Unless you want the TRF to take 2 steps backwards to a time of multi tiered management and red tape, delays, and ineffectiveness, you MUST vote to keep the board as they are.

Changes can then be implemented in due course in a fair and appropriate manner and in accordance with the members wishes.

I will be voting to retain all current directors and will oppose any vote of no confidence against them, that may then arise.

I can act as your proxy if you wish and you can nominate your own voting answers if you disagree with mine.
What is important is that everyone uses their vote.

Once the vote lost there is NO going back and it could be game over for the TRF as we know it.  It will certainly take the best part of a year to sort the mess out and in that time rights of way issues will be effected and the opposition to the TRF will have a field day at our expense.

Please take the time to fill these in and make a proxy vote, if not me then someone in your group who will be attending.

I have no hidden agenda here I just think the whole TRF as an organisation will fall apart if such an ill thought out plan is steamrollered through in this way.

a copy of my post from southern group forum is copied below.  the forms need to be printed signed and emailed today.

" I will be attending the national AGM in early January.
If any Southern members wish to use me as their proxy I will be happy to cast your votes for you.
You will need to print off the proxy voting form from the national forum (http://www.trf.org.uk/forum/download/file.php?id=7019) and fill it in with your voting requests or leave that section blank if you wish me vote for you.
You then nominate me "Andrew Sillence" membership number "Dk151152ca". These votes will matter as to how the TRF decides its direction to take and who is chosen to take us there. So please use this opportunity to have your say.
Remember you will need to email this off to be received by them by the 5/1/17. (in other words you must send it TODAY) Please also keep a copy of the completed form and forward a copy (ideally a scan with your signature on it) to me (smokin.rider@virgin.net) as soon on as you can.
If there are any other things you wish me to raise or ask about then let me know.
Please let any other members, who don't use this forum, know about this as this is a very important time for us and members must use their vote to ensure the future of the TRF.
Andrew
