I walked out of Tesco Lee Mill on sat 4th Feb 2017 and saw a guy getting on a KTM went over and started to talk to him, turns out it was a fellow trf member Lyndon. Well within an hour we were meeting up for a ride round the local lanes. All three of us, my daughter Abbie came along too decided we just wanted a bit of fun on the lanes so didn't do anything too technical. We don't know the number of the lanes yet as we don't have an overlay, but we rode the lanes out to Wheeldon Farm where we took a break and went inside to watch a very fast young rider literally flying round the track. The lanes were flooded so we had a very wet but fun ride, I found out my boots were not at all waterproof. We rode back through Lupridge Lane which was very slippery but we all managed it without a fall, as we got back to Shilstone the sky looked very dark but we carried on to both lanes at Ermington before getting back to Ivybridge just as the heavens opene. We had a great ride and it was a pleasure to meet and ride with Lyndon, a great afternoon.
Great to get out riding. Only thing at the moment is new clutch plates sitting in the garage ready to fit on sat 11/02/17. Blooming thing was slipping like crazy.
Thanks potus, it's an old bike so yes I will change the oil. Just finding things that need sorting each time I ride. I need a new chain guide and the speedo is not working. So nice to be on a bike again though. Roll on summer and the long days.
