Beta xtrainer

apologies as I expect this question has been asked before, but  How many miles do you get out of a full tank on a Xtrainer?? ,

i have heard very good reports on there handling etc  but just nice to know from any owners on fuel consumption, as  I am considering buying one .

cheers

Obviously, it somewhat depends what you are doing with it.

Having said that, I usually figure on getting around 60-65 miles of mixed laning/roads till hitting reserve. Reserve gives another 10mls (ish)

If you do a fair bit of fast road work between lanes it drags the mpg down even further.

On runs where fuel stops are few, I have taken to carrying one of these www.zenoverland.com/portable-fuel-tanks/fuel-friend-15-litre-red.html it straps neatly at the back of the seat through the grab handles.

Having had the XT for a year now, I would highly recommend them (unless you are wanting to race or do that jumpy around MX thing). As a laning bike they are ideal. Everyone who has tried mine - and sometimes it seems like I'm riding other folks' bikers as much as my own while they have a go - has been impressed by both the performance and the handling.

Good luck

Col

Thanks Col for your info , much appreciated, only trail riding for me and being I only have little legs sounds like the low seat height would be a bonus .

Crikey, when I read that link I thought it was a fifteen litre container strapped to your seat!

I've had mine since April 2016, done 4200 miles all trail riding in the UK, Spain and Portugal and I'm getting 12 -15 miles/litre depending on the terrain and the use of the throttle. Frankly I'm amazed each time I go to fill up mid-ride !!

The bike is stock except for handguards, sumpguard, kouba lowering link (I've got short legs ) and a NECJ needle in the carb which improves the carburation and fuel consumption. Before changing the needle I think I was getting about 60 miles to reserve, it was a long time ago........

Basically I love the bike for many reasons.... biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

new beta RR is apparently now built around the xtrainer frame with the better suspension etc that comes with it.
