Spotted at the Great Dorset Steam Fair, with Dutch plates and a streamlined trailer.......

Front wheel drive car engine with one side of the diff locked up, ie other shaft travels at twice car speed - I think.
Diff bearing housings etc have been "patinad", no such word but you know what I mean.

The gear Box looks Audi / VW to me and it looks like a three pot motor maybe Diesel as well want a pic of the right side of the bike ?? I would do Diesel if I was building it like it lots

It's a 1.6 litre VW diesel.

Thank for finding that martyn stopped me thinking about it I did a direct driver Ford pinto bike back in the 80s it was on a super Dream 250 Log book you would never get away with it today and never get it past the SVA Test

Oh so very true! I met a Dutchman in Ullapool a couple of years ago who was riding around the North Coast 500 on a 6 ltr, 425 bhp, V8 Boss Hoss.
