Dave Cooper rack

I had a Dave Cooper rack before on the bongo, with a 450 exc on it and it bent the tow bar.

My Discovery has a max towbar nose weight limit of 250kg, so will this type of rack be okay with a 530exc on the Land Rover..?

I'm planning on putting one in the Mondeo once iv fitted the tow bar, I was thinking of reinforcing it before I out it on so looks like it's a good idea, I think the nose weight works differently as it's more of a dead weight than a trailer?

Yeah dead weight is different. The bongo has like a pick up style bar running the full width of the van, it was a Witter one too but still twisted.

The Discovery one locks into the chassis, and is braced by bolting into the chassis.

Ive emailed DCooper racks to see as they can beef them up a bit if you ask nicely.
