Come and join us to listen to Nicks experiences on the 2018 Gibraltar Race. That's, Romania to Gibraltar. 6000kms in 16 days.
"Finally Nick finished the race to Gibraltar but not without mishap. His final position was 22nd overall out of 80 or so riders, with 20 DNF. He was 10th in class 1 and best Africa Twin beating many younger, fitter and more experienced riders and as an unsupported rider in an international event is some achievement.
The Honda was running "like a mouse in carpet slippers" after 4000 miles at the end with the tyres replaced on day 12 and only suffering from rider abuse "
If you are interested in having a go at this type of event, then this is the perfect opportunity to learn more.
Or just come and listen to the recounting of the adventure!
A short monthly meeting at 8pm , then Nick at 8.30, The Dolphin, Bovey Tracey, bring your friends. All welcome.

Just noticed that you can do just half the route (first six days or the last six days) as a separate event next year.
Still expensive but very tempting.
Good to see that lots of more mature gents seemed to be enjoying it this year.

What a fantastic commentary and smiles Nick gave us on his exploits in the Rally..and his long suffering pit crew... Meeting was very well attended, approx 50 + ppl... 80% will never be seen again...and then it will be back to the usual....
