Useful if your trail bike speedo goes belly up!

Have you tried one of these on a motorcycle Brain?

It's just that the wireless ones can be upset by the electrical interference from the spark plug leads.

Nope but thanks for the warning.

Mind you, for a fiver, if it didn't work, I could put it on my grandson's BMX and he would love it biggrin

Anyone else tried wireless on a motorcycle?

The advert does say it's for cyclists - pedal cyclists.

Features of the speedo include:-

  • Trip distance
  • Total distance
  • 24 hour clock
  • Auto stop
  • Auto display off
  • Auto Scan function
  • Current, maximum, minimum temperature in C° or F°
  • Speed comparison
  • Trip time
  • Fat-burn measurement and calorie consumption
  • Background light
  • Maintenance reminder
  • CO² saving in comparison to car
  • Stopwatch
  • Double display

Quite handy for some riders, eh?   biggrin

I thought about one when I had my old KDX, but the stated max distance from sensor to speedo wasn't enough, as it's alot further on a motorcycle.

I ended up fitting a wired one, but I had to fit the wiring/mounting kit for a rear cadence sensor, again because of the distance from sensor to handlebar.

The specs might have changed over the years though.

I've previously installed the cheap Trailtech copies, with limited success. Had to extend the sensor cable which isn't a big deal, but I did find that it starts going a bit odd when going at any speed. Now the cable has been ripped out by undergrowth, I haven't been bothered to repair it.
