Wanted - KTM type 2 wire female connector

I'm hoping someone will have some KTM electical bits hanging around.

I have managed to rip the wires out of the female connector of the speedo pick-up wire close to the bottom of the forks/sensor.

There is not enough wire left to solder the wires back on, and I'm hoping to avoid paying the £41.64 for a new cable (with sensor)

The only connectors I've found are £8 each, plus postage.

I could just cut the male connector off and solder the two ends together, but I'm hoping someone has an old two wire female connector, with at least an inch of wire attached, or a source for new ones.

Hi Ray

What sort of terminals are used in the connector block?

I have a stock of this type:

Light and starter switch blocks and terminals - female.jpg

Thanks Brian, I'm not entirely sure.

What I called a 'female' connector, is shown in an online shop as a 'male'

I'll have a closer look tomorrow. I need the top one.

Fiddly, but you should be able to push metal bit out of plastic, albeit you will have to work out a pusher upperer thingie to press in the wotsit. Once out, tidy up, Solder and shrink wrap, push back in.

If you still have the indicators and loom in a box somewhere, they are the same connectors. You can cut and solder these in to repair the lead.
Ive used them to make a spliced Y connector so I can run the speedo and ico from one pickup.

Useless piece of info but related.
Magnet at bottom can be bought for pence for 10, fit them inside steel bracket, unit that does the business "close proximity sensor", 2 or 3 wire. Most bike stuff 3. Live in, signal out and earth.
All these things are sum of the bits. The bits are SO cheap individually!
Add in one of those soldering guns with the reel on the back, various bits of heat shrink etc.
Jobs ą good un !

That's what I hoped other people had.

My indicators are fitted to the bike!
