Thanks for this, really interesting read. Shafting insurers, good to know as there very often dogs on farm tracks having a blib. Only question would be what happens if we are riding through a farm yard and a dog has a go at you and ends up under the tire? Can we then legally be takin to court? A specially seeing the dog is in its own yard and free to run round.

Remember that a road through a yard is still a road, the dog has still to be under control.

highway code is what we used when I was a claims negotiator. All dogs must be kept on a "short" lead. ie not a 30m long lead and not running loose.
you must stop and report any accident with a dog but not a cat!
