There is a burnt out Ford Focus two thirds the way up 17 near charlecombe blocking the lane also some limbs off a tree could do with clearing away in the same lane.
It wasn't there last Sunday when I rode it. I'd be surprised if David Halpin FRCS who owns the adjoining orchard hasn't already contacted the council, but anyway,
Agreed Doug but not quite sure what will pull it out as space is limited (height and width in the lane for a tractor or similar) Doubt a quad or a farm vehicle like a Polaris or similar wouldbe capable? It's a fair old way to the end of the lane and a rocky decent past some nice houses at the bottom. It's gunna make a right mess dragging that out for sure!!

Ray, it's lane 202-017. We were headed downhill, south to north as shown on this map. We made it as far as the end of my magenta track line circled orange, so about half way down the lane)
I wonder how it got past the post at the top of the lane?
The post lower down will certainly be a problem but it will be possible to drag it down the Restricted Byway once past the post.
I did once enquire using a freedom of information request and there was no legal action involved in the installation of the posts by highways, and they may regret installing them when they hinder the removal of the car.
On the plus side it will mean the stump near the post gets moved when eventually it goes...
