The monthly meeting at the Dolphin is back......hoorah.

The monthly meeting can now make its welcome return to its ancestral home in the Dolphin Hotel at Bovey.

There is a limit of 30 people (that would be an unusual sight) and everyone will have to supply theor contact details for track and trace purposes.

I believe the Hotel is now running as normal, food may be available! So Ray, Noel and Wacky ham egg and chips for tea.

Im sure the beligured landlord will be glad to have us back so your support would be appreciated.

Cheers all, hope this will be the start of a return to whatever passes as normality now

Trevor

I have spoken to The Dolphin.

They are doing food as usual, but have a more limited number of tables due to the required spacing, and they will require people to book a table if they

wish to eat.

However, they will allow us to have our food in the meeting room if we like, where there is more space for us.

And, ham egg and chips is available.

Would anyone be prepared to run a Zoom meeting from the Dolphin on the night, to make it possible to include people who can't make it.

You would need a lap top connected to a projector.

As the numbers are limited to 30 it may be prudent for people to express their interest on here, then I will be able to inform our host how many to expect.

30 people would however, be double the number that usually come.

I'm happy to eat upstairs too.

Trevor, I can try to run a Zoom meeting, is there someone with a projector?  If so, maybe I could show the GRM videos to the meeting.

I think Chris and Jackie have one, I will pm you later with the log in if that's possible.

Excellent. I'll just have to figure out how to make it work.

pm me your email address if you wish to join in by Zoom.

I'm unsure how that will work with an open discussion in a large room with only a laptop microphone though, so no promises.

If we sit really close together and the laptop camera can see us all, it should work ok (-;

all coughs and sneezes would be directed at the laptop .........

Alternatively we sit in a giant circle and the film crew ( thats probably Ray but could be whoever is chairing the meeting ) would sit in the middle and aim the laptop at whoever is speaking

So one of those revolving office chairs perhaps ?

all coughs and sneezes directed into the nearest elbow .......

Or perhaps we could say if coughing and sneezing will spoil your evening, dont come, cos it will probably spoil everybody elses evening heh, thats the risk assessment / method statement sorted.

Lookin forward to it.
