Illegal riding - Haldon Forest fire roads

On Sunday 29 Nov at around 2-3 pm, I saw two KTM riders on the fire roads within the Dawlish Water part of Haldon Forest between the A380 and the Obelisk. They were riding slowly and were considerate of the numerous walkers, but nonetheless, riding illegally. The bikes had very small number plates which were obscured by mud.

I was unable to have a conversation with the riders, as I need to grab my two dogs which were off lead and are very nervous around vehicles.

Some 10 minutes later, I could hear a couple couple of 2T bikes being ragged in the distance, in the direction of Thorns Cross.

The only reason I have posted this, is that someone on the forum may know these two riders and have the opportunity to educate them in the ways of the TRF.

Same going on in East hill woods, groups of 4-5 off piste and not seeming to give s sh1t either, even stopping for group chats in the trees.

To be honest, theres a whole generation who simply dont care.
Some are also stupid, unaware of the legality of almost everything.
We all try and educate but, generally, we are not teenagers and being reasoned has little or no effect.
Im fairly lucky, the lads that I have around, who arent part of the TRF agenda, will take the blunt approach from me.
Must be the building site approach!! ;)
Anyway, a few have got the message.
Shut down is playing havoc with the idiot brigade.
Got to get out, got to give it some etc.
Core etc do a brilliant job of keeping them in the right place, but even they are stopped at present.

With the AGM in mind.... I would suggest the above post alienates, or at the least, discourages youthful folk from joining the DTRF?

Much as we enjoy the ambience and banter of an AGM meeting, the youth of today would rather stick pins in their eyes. So I doubt any discouragement would affect the situation.

True, but most of the youth will not appreciate the huge amount of behind the scenes work that the hierarchy carry out.
It will never cross their minds whilst chasing down whatever lane that the lads have recently cleared etc etc.
Im not suggesting anyone can do anything about it, just the reality.
There will be notable exceptions.
