Before we even got started today , first lane of the day and we were met by Devons Constabulary , had a very nice chat with a Sargent , who told us they had had a lot of complaints about anti social riding etc, once we had explained that we were TRF members and rode to a code of conduct ,also demonstrated that we knew were to legally ride , they checked our bikes and bid us a good day and we carried on with our ride
To be fair you kids these days do look like hooligans . I think they always look quite surprised when we take off our helmets and rarely is there anyone below 40 years old.

They did look a tad surprised when we took our helmets off , and quite happy when we demonstrated we were going to ride sensibly
Sign of the times - to many spoiling it for the few. I know this wont go down well but things like the TET route being made so freely available have IMO seen a huge increase in (over) use of just a few lanes....
And to add to the confusion, as it also straddles 3 Parish boundaries it gets three Highway references , Dalwood (USRN 12109230), Shute (USRN 12108879) and Kilmington (USRN 12108571) but they each call it Byway 40, and it's also known as Roman Road (USRN 12106703), and of course PROW have their own reference for it!
A lot of motocrossers take their track bikes up to Shute Woods to practice. Totally illegal of course. You can tell because they park their vans where your photo was taken.
