A little solo trip out on the lanes this evening, 66 miles in total,  lots of wildlife about, I saw 8 hares in total tonight, not sure what that was about!!!, route started with 202-360 which has only recently been opened up, then Yealmpton on to Noss mayo, Holbeton, Modbury,Averton Gifford, Loddiswell, Morleigh, Tuckenhay, Totnes, South Brent and home. BEAUTIFUL!!!

202-360 needs to be used otherwise will get overgrown.

I last rode it there was a wall of stinging nettles across at the point it was originally blocked off.

I have got out of the habit of posting rides on here, I will try and change that

Yep stingers still there, but I will try and use it as much as I can as pretty local to me

Would be a deep shame to see 360 overgrown gents after all the work that went into opening her up wink

Only takes a strmmer/hedge cutter, notify PRoW jobs a good un' smile

P. McFadden would be chuffed

Russell, is this on 202-192?

there was a large tree trunk in the water across the entrance a few weeks ago (rear of your bike), when the water looked much deeper.

Deci said you liked the depth challenge here.

My partner, Sarah and I thought your pictures and ride were pretty amazing.

We live in Camberley, Surrey and also have a holiday home in Dartmouth (so your trip through Totnes caught my eye).

We're in Dartmouth fairly regularly.

Would it be possible to have a quick chat (on the mobile) to understand how I could do a similar DIY trip with all the right SatNav stuff, please ?

Any TRF forums, websites, tips and suggestions would be gratefully received.

Thanks Erich 07946905677

Hi Erich

The easy way would be to post on here when you are down next and ask if anyone is going out from your area.  Failing that, if you have joined the TRF you will shortly receive a welcome pack from Ray.  This will give you all the information you need to get started.

You can search the forum for information on all sorts of things but electronic navigation will probably get you loads of useful stuff to read.

I have PM ed you my Phone number if you fancy a chat.

cheers Trevor

Hi Trevor,

I am in Dartmouth tonight and until Sunday.

Happy to meet anyone fancying a ride out (hopefully starting somewhere near Dartmouth).

I have access to Green Maps etc.

It looks like I'll take photo shots of it, ride for a bit then memorise the route until I get lost and start again

All the best to you and everyone at Devon TRF.

Cheers Erich

Hi Erich, I see you were originally a South London and Surrey member, with Devon listed as an 'Other' group, so you wouldn't have ordinarily received a 'Welcome email' from the Devon group as a new member.
However, I will send you an email so you can get an idea of what we do, and give you some ideas as to the satnav stuff, although this question will usually generate almost as many answers as 'What bike should I buy?' or 'What is the best tyre?'
You've picked a lovely spot as a holiday home for some trail riding.
I am busy this weekend and I know several other riders are also committed with the Exeter Trial, either riding, marshalling or spectating.

Ray
