Does anyone know of some wear safe in or near Tavistock that We could park 2 vans for 3 days as looking to do a loop of the GWT around the Cornwall section , any suggestions, would be most helpful

Well, in the absence of any offers for around Tavistock, I can offer safe and discreet parking for you on the other side of Dartmoor.
Teign Valley any use ?
Theres a very nice connection across the middle of the moor with the odd diversion to take in some of Devons finest should you feel the need ..........

Thank you very much for replying with your kind offer Noel, we was thinking of Tavistock as that is were we are going to start the Cornwall section of the great western trail from so the other side of Dartmoor would be to a bit to far for us , but I do appreciate the kind offer and taking the time to reply, Then with a sur name of squibb I can understand your offer of help
I can remember not so many years ago when Devon TRF would be the place for all kinds of help and advice , but I think it has declined over the years with only the same old few that use this site now

That may be a bit harsh and the paucity of responses could just be a reflection of the membership spread which is concentrated in south and east Devon with on-the-ground knowledge of Tavistock parking being somewhat limited as a result.
Being south Devon myself I wouldn't know what to suggest so didn't but, in the absence of anything better, perhaps find a pub with a large carpark and seek their permission to park there in exchange for a meal or two.
