RE: lane Blocked

Haven't got a clue Rich

Its been a while since I saw a report saying it was blocked by a fallen 'Elm" (I guess) from the photo

Could take a look see but If I'm doing that I could clear it while there

Any takers on helping.......

I do evening volunteering now

East Budleigh mate, the one that goes up beside the house Nick wink

Small Elm across the road, would be handy if we knew it was still there smile

RE: lane Blocked, Cleared 192-179 GRM 5317

All cleared at 4.30 - 17/3/23

Took 30 minutes on my own as there were loads of branches attached and they had to be moved out first before I could assess the situation, tight place to put the branches on the bank but successful I was wink

Not a huge Elm about 12-14 inches

Did 'Lone sawing' not ideal in any circumstances but my family were alerted with a rescue plan if needed, NO PHONE Signal on site neither no

Bloke who lives at the bottom of the road gave me a long hard stare for quite sometime, think I parked in his normal spot on the road hmm

Thought he was coming up the road for a chat at first I was going to ask for some help

The tip of the Elm' was cut off on the western side as it was encroaching into the garden

Expect more Elm's to fall in the future as there are quite a number stood on the bank Eastern bank, perhaps an email to PRoW will reach the landowner, especially now its a nature trail (few years now) with a handy display board stating its a "path" nono

Clearly not work with DCC PRoW then confuse

Great job, thanks Ian - it was an eyesore to say the least. eyepopping.gif

I have seen the nature trail boards - there's another at the other end up Tidwell Lane.

I remember helping to clear that lane with Biscuit (my dog) you and others years ago - September 2012.  omfg.gif
