As it was national check the TET UK - Day of the TET three of us decided to put our names down to check section 28 from Teignmouth to Callington, so Damian Steer and myself rode up to Jacks Patch to meet Trevor Foxon at 9 o'clock. Our rides were two CB500Xs mine with full rally raid kit fitted and Trevors with his Transalp 21" front wheel conversion and Damians KTM990.
We set of across Shaldon Bridge to follow the TET through the Rocombe and Stokeinteignhead lanes, unfortunately we only got as far as the Compton mudplug before Damian couldn't continue any further due to servere back pain. (Get better soon mate, Teign to Tamar is only three weeks away)
Trevor and myself continued on through to Tally ho and Littlehempston, then Totnes where we stopped at the coffee shop on the Plains for a coffee and Pasty which was very civilised off again we continued through Harberton and on to Wheeldon and then Coarsewell, then Devils steps and onto Ivybridge, still full from our coffee stop we didn't stop here but continued on to Cornwood and onto the moors via Cadover Bridge and Meavy ford and then on to Burrator where we stopped for an ice cream and had a chat with some mountain bikers, after this we continued on to perkhill and Huckworthy Bridge and down into Tavistock, then onto Gulworthy and Gunnislake, now we were in Cornwall land!! and the last two lanes of the trip were beauties, we finished in Callington and then decided to do a road run back home over the moors via Gunnislake, Tavistock, Two bridges, Dartmeet and down to Ashburton and the A38 where we went our separate ways home. Thanks Trevor for a great day out I throughly enjoyed it, around 150 miles door to door for me, jetwashed the bike all ready for the next adventure
