Ah, so I guess the forum is going to die a death then; it is what usually happens with multiple social meedja sources for the same group.
i hope there is room for both of them to run side by side. Sure there will be some folk who migrate to FB and never come back, but there is some people on here who dont use facebook, and never will. This is a great resource that will continue to contribute to our communications along with the web site.
I cannot join the TRF page as I am not currently a member even though I am the admin of this forum !!
I hope there is a link from FB back to here ?
Hi Doug
From what I can see there are two DTRFG facebook pages, an open one with a link to this forum & the DTRFG website, and a separate members only one that I'm also not a member of.
I will probably use neither as I'm set in my ways, the forum is fine for me.
Hi all - the forum will always be the best place to find out about and interact with the Devon TRF and both the Facebook pages will always seek to push people in the direction of the forum. The new Facebook page just brings us in line with what lots of other TRF groups are doing and is hopefully a way of getting people to sign up to the TRF.
hi. a new member here. I find after spending 20-30 mins looking around this forum that its not very well dat organised and you need to search very heavily to find anything. Am I doing something wrong?

I just put some of the words included in your desired subject in the search box and it usually comes up with loads of stuff

The forum was created in 2008 so old tech really. However the info is still there after all these years and you are very unlikely to find anything better.

Quite so. The search box works well enough with a few key words and the various sections of the forum are easy to find.
Good luck finding anything again on Facebook
I use Facebook alot for different bike groups etc it's brilliant for help and very quick with people replying with advice. I also use the forum alot. But when you want to talk to locals the forum is certainly the place.
You say finding things on Facebook much like the forum, if the group page is get up for it there is a search bar simply type what you want to know.
Obviously if your a frequent Facebook user then you'll be seeing peoples posts on your newsfeed.
