Strange there are NO Alarm Bells ringing in the Devon TRF world about major UCR' closures in East Devon
Lower Gipsie's lane has been closed for a year now! Although many UCR's were repaired by PRoW contractors last year in the same area, tons of materials needed
Water erosion is the reason 100%.... poor drainage works for many of the UCR's plus Highways using the UCR' network as ditches..
Nothing or no-one is jumping about to ring the alarm......Strange...your hobby with less green roads......do the math
Devon Public Rights of Way are likely to insist on engineered solutions for the repairs to Cleave lane and Back lane. Devon TRF can hopefully help to achieve a lasting solution in both of these lanes and I am confident that an application to national TRF for match funding would be looked on favorably. The money that national holds is a reserve that is considered necessary by the Directors to cover a potential legal case that could go against the TRF. The challenges that the TRF bring against local authorities generally for proposed green road closures are by and large successful but some times the judiciary is unpredictable.

Old cleave closed till December 2024 TTRO or if works are completed sooner, if not expect an extension into 2025
Hayne lane, trees removed but waiting on the land slide holes to be filled
Be very wary of the Crockell NIMBY at Southcote farm, ex London solicitor hell bent on changing lane status to bridleway for his family to use safely without motorcycles sharing it.
Have had stern words with him for leaving posts lying across the lane several times, but he will not see reason.
Walked Hayne lane today and they have done a great job of removing trees and looks like quite alot of the landslide has been removed aswell. Easily passable by motorcycle or 4x4. The uphill to Southcote farm is now too narrow for a 4x4 I would say. Unless a Suzuki jimny!
