hope you manage to get a replacement Steve.

I have had a search around for you but cant see any bargains out there at the minute. Apparently the Beta replacement shock is a bit beefier than the old one and less likely to snap. Thick end of a thousand quid though cry cry cry cry cry

Try Lucas at the above site,he rebuilds shocks mostly BMW ones but he is very pleasant too speak too.
He machined a piston rod for my wilbers rear shock...

Surely the likes of Gibbs in Saltash or Moto33 in Plympton, Plymouth can rebuild it.

It's broken the same as this one, found this on forum saying that they are a problem, 1 person has broken 2!

I have seen people modify a KTM linkage type shock to fit.

Thanks for all the posts and ideas my shock looks exactly like the one Neil has posted.

I spoke to Beta UK today and they are putting in a claim into Beta for me, there seems tobe an issue with the shocks !!??

Sunday. Shock collapsed out riding.

Monday . Phoned Beta UK, spoke to a Steve.

Tuesday. Sent pictures of shock to Steve.

Steve put claim into Beta.

Wednesday. Beta except claim shock in post should get it tomorrow.

It doesn't get any better than that !!

Well, you wouldn't get that from KTM!! and definitely not now given their situation.

Well done both steve's. Told you they covered all parts on broken main bearing on mine. Barrel,piston,crank all bearings,seals and gaskets all f.o.c. Great service.
