Easy route?

My wife has recently passed her cbt and just before upgrading my single membership i wanted to take her for a ride around Honiton. she is not very happy with roads but keen to give greenlaning a go. Could someone who rides the Honiton area lanes regularly possibly help with a short route that will be easy ? I havent been out probably 2 years now and just staring to get back on the bike again. I am currently using memory map and being very non tech its a struggle. thank you

Morning Andre

Do you have the Devon TRF overlays?

How long a route are you looking at?

Always thought the overlays could be something along the lines of the 'Trailforks' App, colour coded routes to show what's easy or hard to ride on the level of difficulty wink

Although it would need some input from members on updating such a network...probably everyones idea of what's easy could differ slightly wink

192-237 Lower & higher gipsies lane is now open & absolutely easy for all riders in either direction

Cheers Wacky smile

All these UCR's (Red line) are easy, wide farm tracks with a good surface dressing, just watch out for the crossing on the Sidmouth to Ottery road wink

Morning Wacky smile

The overlays are already colour coded to represent the lane status: Legal, TRO, White, Deleted and Other.

The overlay's lane 'comment' already attempts to inform members of what they may be confronted with but the usefulness of this is dependent on the feedback I receive from run sheet/track log submissions. However, if members aren't submitting them the comment loses relevance - as is our important record of use. It's also to the members benefit to request regular overlay updates as many that are in use are years out of date.

Cheers,
John
