1960 Triumph Cub.

I have the opportunity too purchase one, stored in a barn.

I haven't looked at it yet I just have pictures,

is there anything I should be particularly worried about.

It was running last in 2018 when it was last Mot'd

Thanks Mike..

No not all a lovely little winter project.

As long as its got good compression you should be fine.

Get it home drop the oil clean the points check for a spark then I would rig up an external fuel tank and after a few kicks it will start

If not the carb might need a quick clean.

Then after that it depends how much you want spend restoring it.

Good luck

Vic

Yes that's all in needs.

Don't waste money on it which you will never get back.

Just ride it and enjoy it.

An update....
It was under a sheet in a barn next too an opening door way.

Well, after looking it over all seemed too be original, but the inside of the tank was rusty
There are 2 what looks like stiifeners in the tank running long ways they were well rusty although the rest was clean but you could see sediment in the bottom
The forks were siezed up,but a friend of his bounced the front up and down and they eventually let go,the top chromed bit is under a shroud.
So cannot see if the chrome is rusty.
Tyre's were not in the best of condition.

After mulling it over,I made an offer but that was rejected.£500 less than he wanted,
He wanted running on the road prices, his mate had looked on Ebay...

So I walked away....

Oh well it was worth a try.

But on the positive side you can take solace in the fact you have saved yourself a lot of money.
