I've just read the excellent article by our own Sean Comber in the issue of the TRF Magazine 'Trail' that just landed.
In it Sean described the technicalities of road surface erosion that lead to potholes (that we all hate) and road abandonment (that we all like).
In order that we all benefit from these 'new' unsurfaced roads it's important that they are added to the Lane's Database (from which the overlays are generated) plus the GRM.
So can I reiterate the message printed in each month's news letter that any 'Road Closed', 'Unsuitable for Motors', 'Dead End', etc. signs - or even any without but deteriorating markedly - that you spot that are not on the overlay or GRM are reported to me (preferably with a tracklog or run sheet) at johnleah@blueyonder.co.uk, please? I'll check if we already know it and coordinate with Ray for the GRM.
