Just wondering if anyone on here has done the ACT (adventure country tracks) UK route?
Ive got a week off in September and thinking of giving it a go on my Transalp.
Im curious has to how you rated the difficulty, especially if you did it on an adventure/bigger bike. I will probably leave out the IoM section to save some money.
Hi i did the ACT 20th June on a Himi 450, rode up from Exeter first night camped nr Abergavenny then rode up to Liverpool (also missed the IOM ) rode to Heysham then across to Whitby
I would not be able to comment on whether doable on a Transalp but i would As we all know gates are a pain in the arse if traveling in Wales ( even the TET ) so i would not go alone. The Heysham to Whitby not so many gates and lots of long trails
On the way back jumped on the ABR coastal route ( east) until the wash then headed back to Exeter Total about 1400 miles. Not sure on restrictions regarding wild fires / nesting birds etc you would need to check. Campsites plentiful & fuel no problem.
