192-178 Hayeswood Lane, East Budleigh (GRMUID 5316) - Misleading sign?

Reported via GRM, an apparent recent sign on 192-178 (5316) outside of Wynards Farm, Hayeswood Lane, East Budleigh

GRMUID 5316 DevonTRF ref 192-178 Hayeswood Lane sign 070826r.jpg

I cannot find a notification of a closure on Hayeswood Lane, so it reamins an open legal Public Road leading to a crossroads with 192-177 (5315) to the south, 192-176 (5314) to the north and permanently TROed 192-225 straight ahead, so it is a legal through route to then go north or south, not an access only lane

I have reported this sign to DCC asking for clarification.

The sign seems familiar, so does anybody remember where it was before?

Reply from PROW

Thank you for the report. I visited this location last week. Unfortunately there was nobody at the farm to speak to but i photographed the sign for our records and laid it down. If we receive reports of the sign being put back i will return to remove it. Many thanks.

Members can use the GRM reporting system to report the re-appearance of the sign.

Members should & could be encouraged to report the problems themselves then let Ray know via the GRM

This in turn would help Ray out with his volunteer time, plus members could learn how to report issues

Thanks Ray for all you do mate, there is not enough thanks for this bloke nor the very few behind the scenes doing some sterling research on all matters regarding lanes smile

Perhaps the group could explain at the meeting how to report issues, maybe a demo wink

Thanks Wacky smile

I wouldn't know but I expect there is mate smile

It would be just so good to get more people involved with simple things that anyone could sort out smile
