Very Bad news

Kevin King, BigKev to those that know him on this forum and the DTR one has had a very bad Accident whilst riding his Ducati road bike yesterday morning. Kev apparently lost the bike on a bend and hit a metal road sign.
Things are bad for Kev, he is in a Coma and has suffered severe head and chest fractures.
Kev is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Please keep him in your thoughts.
I will update this thread if I hear anymore news.
My Best wishes are with you Kev.

OMG. That's so bad and sad news. My thoughts are with Kev and his family and I pray he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Take it easy out there guys - especially those with the sporty bikes now the sun's come out to play.

Good luck Kev.

Really sorry to hear about the accident. Something we all know is possible whatever bikes we ride......

Please pass all our best wishes on to his family Gary so that they can let him know we are thinking of him when he gets out of the coma.

I don't know the guy, but any accident of such scale, especially with another rider, is one to be concerned with.

I wish Kev a full, speedy recovery and I hope he gets to tip top soon. My thoughts will be with his family and I, too, wish them well.

Bloody hell - can't say I know Kev, but was on way to Sidmouth on A375 Sunday with wife and kids just after it happened.

Taken from this is devon site -

"a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after his bike left the road on a bend and hit a signpost.

The 50-year-old's Ducati 1098 veered off the road near Sidbury in East Devon and collided with a signpost. The rider, who was out with a group of about seven bikers, was airlifted to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, then transferred to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where he remains in a serious condition.

The accident happened at midday on Sunday on a right-hand bend on the A375 just outside Sidbury, between Sidmouth and Honiton, close to the Hare and Hounds pub.

Police have confirmed that the man, who has not been named but is thought to be married and from Brixham, suffered life-threatening injuries in the accident.

"A red Ducati motorcycle travelling in the direction of Sidmouth failed to negotiate a right-hand bend and collided with a road sign at its apex," said a force spokesman."

Best wishes fella cry
