Best bit of kit I've bought, I've had at least 3 falls on the road/rocks and have never felt a thing. It's comfy and not too hot to wear either. You can unzip the spine protector.

I bought mine for £120 and it's on special offer with these guys, free postage as well.

I use EVS Ballistic body armour, it's very lite weight, and fits well, one thing to remember though always try it on before you make a purchase as the only good protection is the one you wear.

Got mine from Dirtbike Express in Minehead a couple of years ago, but I know Albion stock EVS, plus the TRF discount so may be worth a look.

Got the EVS stuff Clayton has, except mine is without the kidney belt. Had a couple of knocks in it and it's done it's job, however if I wear a rucksack, the straps cut in to the shoulder/collar bone section of the armour. That said, I don't wear the armour when laning, only when on track.

Ref Claytons statement - "the only good protection is the one you wear."

Very true!

I've recently sold on my body armour as I wasn't wearing it, it didn't work well with my jacket & rucksack. I'm now starting to think about getting some armour again.

Body armour is no different to any PPE (personal protective equipment), it really is a question of horses for courses, my main reason for choosing the EVS Ballistic was that when I tried it on compared to others it felt lite and gave the feeling of not actually wearing it and I found when it was needed it hadn't slipped or moved exposing the vulnerable areas like elbows for instance, if you work out your choice in this order you shouldn't go too far wrong.

1. Comfort
2. Protection
3. Cost

Never used to wear any, protection's for poofs was my motto.......no

Had one or two tumbles, broke a couple ribs etc and got some armour - had a bad tumble a few months back on ride with Harty and it really saved me I'm sure (the line where the brusing stopped showed where it proctected) would not dream of riding without it now hmm

I've got it with the kidney belt (from Albion with TRF discount)

I don't know i'm wearing it mostly, it fits so well.

I always have a well stocked rucksack on when laneing & have never found it to be a problem.
