So, instead of replacing my front wheel rim........

I've bought a Hagon rear shock for the CCM!

The shock is actually for a 'onda CRF 230, but as I've just bought a standard one of those off Cap'n Paul as an experiment, which really worked: lowered the bike by 40mm, and really felt much better sprung, even though the shock has NO damping, it's well worth doing.

So finally, a bit of genuine Britishness on my "British" bike!

So out for a few hours gentle bimble on Saturday to try it out, and Lorn promises that she is gonna try it out on the lanes.

Good old Alf... is it one of his rubber band specials, or a shock assembly made to replace the CRF one?
Should have some adjustment? did you reuse the CCM spring?
The stock one on my CRF works reasonably well... better than the pogostick on the KTM 200 gasguzzler!

It's one especially for the CRF. At £295 it'd better not be a bloody rubber band special!

Will last just as long, bit at fraction of the costwink

Well it was ordered yesterday and arrived this morning, fitted this afternoon!

Slightly disappointed as it has a spring that's not sagged out so it now sits about 5mm higher than it did with the old CRF shock with the preload wound right up, but the Hagon one is wound right off!

Set the damping on the soft side and the bike rides superbly and I think Lorn is looking forward to getting her hands on it now.

Still need the lowering link that Tina Pontins old man is making for me, and then the little bugger will be tiny!
