I have had to ride "the stones" on the main ford for the last few visits.it still looked to be about 4 foot deep beside them !!!

i am going that way tomorrow so i will check it out and let you know.

Yes mate i would say it is.

ride to the entrance and walk through to test the depth.and if its ok go for it

i wouldn't want to cross the stones on my own though.

Roger

last time i was there.

Yes it is dodgy alone, especially where you can't see the bottom.
As said above walk it first to see how deep it is.
Push across the bridge if it is too deep

Ahhh, so there's a bridge to bypass the crossing nearby then?

photo's were taken from the bridge.

it is a pedestrian bridge and i have never looked at getting a bike across it.

a couple of pics with the bridge in (crossing on the stones)

Yes but the ones with concrete/cobbled/stone bases are BLOODY slippery cause all the algae etc has really grown on them......ashamed

Technically one should push a dead motor as it is a footpath.

I was there about 6 weeks ago with Brownie and Bob, and we decided to back track and go around. There is a really washed out deep bit, or there are the stones - neither look appealing. The bridge is not very bike friendly either....

Didnt get as far as here to have a look today cry but i would guess it is doable as the normally impassable 192-146 is passable with care at the moment wink

Road it yesterday as TEC with a visiting TRF Group. Farmer Giles has filled it in and it was therefore a bit of an anti-climax having wound the guys up about having to cross on a slippery 2" wide rock ledge - it is the easiest I have ever found it!
