Anyone know about these people and the tech involved?

Customers came in Sat with 2 lunch boxes by their radiator.  These contained distilled water.  As I understand it, the fuel cell cracks the water molecules into their hydrogen & oxygen constituents & this mixture is fed into the car's intake giving significant economy & power increases.  The cost of the conversion seems very reasonable, almost too good to be true.  The conspiracy theories about the petrol companies stifling innovation abound but if this is as good as it seems, we should all have one on our cars.

I got as far as making 1 cell but never got as far as installing it. That was back when the cost of diesel soared, shortly afterwards it dropped back to 109p and I abandoned it.

As far as the tech goes I believe it smile.gif

How does the theory go with splitting the water molecule using electricity then, Rich?

Simple Electrolysis

12volts DC across the plates will conduct through the water and gas will form on the plates.

H2o - you get twice as much hydrogen as oxygen.

The burning of the gases is not where the extra effiecency is as the process of creating gas first takes more engergy than is returned from burning it in your engine.
What is being claimed is that burning the Hydrogen (and Oxygen) in your engine somehow makes the burn more effiecent and thus gives you a better running, more powerfull and more effiecent engine.

I was building a small reactor cell to test this on my van but was too busy really and wasn't really using my van that often.
Funny enough it was something I was going to revist later this year as I have far more free time on my hands now.

The kits you've linked look really good as there are several issues which need to be addressed before the hydrogen cell can be a 'fit & forgot' addition to your vehicle.
I might give them a call and bend their ears about it to see how they've overcome the ones I know about.

Well spend it doing this rather than re packing your sealed bearings then......wink.....

I do find the thought of you building a reactor a bit scary though...ashamed....can you not sod off back up country and do it? - I really don't mind if you wipe Basingstoke off the face of the planet but would be rather upset it you damaged Sidmouth or its environs.....

Basically you have a jar of water.. with two electrodes stuck in it..connect it up to the cars battery electrics so when the engine is running the 12v power is fed to the electrodes.. the electricity splits the water and releases hydrogen gas... this is then fed from the jar and into the inlet after the air flow meter and joins the fuel air mix as it goes to the carb or air inlet..

The hydrogen boosts the combustion process and keeps the valves/piston crown clean and the extra power allows the economy to be better...
