Yet another event that is trials tyre only...

Saves wear and tear on the venue.

Alot of this event , and many others , have sections over agricultural land. The land owners prefer the trials tyres cos they dont rip it up quite so much. And in the woods aswell, the environmental damage is alot less with trials tyres.

Kris - think you'll find most enduro events nowadays are trials tyre on rear only.

If you want to do these events you'll have to try it and get used to the different feel.

Personally I wouldn't go back to an enduro tyre and last time I was at this location a trials tyre was perfect..........

......mind you, it was a trial and I was on the Montesa wink

It's been bone dry for weeks so don't think you'd have been at a disadvantage on a trials rear.

Just got back from the hare and hounds, I am unbelievably shagged.

And I only did 1 sighting lap before the start and a lap when they had finished. Trials tyres were the biz. It was very dry, but no dust. A few Trf faces were marshling. A great day..................... smile

Same here, what an excellent day, think Haccadown only 6 times longer & tighter sections in the trees biggrin

I did 5 laps, 3 with a few stops (glad I was marshalling & was supposed to wink

) & am also well & truly cream crackered. Respect to the riders that did the full 3 hours.

It would be great if we could persuade the land owners to let us play here after the event, like Whiteway.

I understand there were problems before with enduro riders blasting around but maybe make it members only with strict guidelines?

What ever, it was great to ride around the track & I hope to be able to do it next time.

Sorry steve, we used to have this site a week after the enduro, we lost it due to lack of interest by trail riders. cry

I came i saw i didnt exactly concour / no i fell four time two silly tumbled off the sides legs to short and two goodens within hundred yards reason trying to hard and going to fast when knackered ,out through the front door after going over a log ok first time it moved the second im sure ????? well over a hundred riders took part how do they do that skip through the forrest i nearly ran into everythink ? the front end washed i could of done a weeks worth ? i admit defeat looks like im going to put two base gaskets in the YZ after all it beat me up, just not going fast enough most of the time lol not fit enough and over weight ? still ? had a free burger and chips and a dc pepper for services ?????? ill get fit later young mr Andy Elloit was out on a huqsvarna TE250i enduro looked nice and was chuft after , thanks for the old hand me downs Andy :

its tomorrow monday im shattered my wrist ache like billy go after my front exit today i walked to work ughhhh lol hows everybody else doing ?

Agree with most....What a fantastic day! Managed 4 laps in total and I too am cream crackered. Will be putting my name forward for others I think smile

Great day easiest days marshalling ive done there 2 years ago it was spent digging people out all day praise be for dry weather that place is horrendous in the wet i have raced it a few times but the entry fees put me off these days the event was won by Chris Dustow with Nick Life second good to see loads of TRF helping out im sure we could get this venue back with some work anyone whos not used to riding on trials type tyres needs to try it youre missing out on some great events

Well this was my first time at marshaling an enduro and I have to say i really enjoyed it, got to watch some very quick guys racing, had a few fun laps of the track at the end, and after all that was given a free drink & a burger for my effort, fantastic, for anybody who is interested in doing something like this but a bit unsure of what to expect, there is some rough edited footage below, the track was around six miles per lap and the top boys were managing a lap in 17 mins, mine took a lot longer, but then I was getting up close and personal with trees and riding my bike into the most rotten smelling bogs. biggrin

Top day had by all the 200 was flat out when i passed you at the end Rob its a top bike but it guzzles fuel like its going out of fashion at that speed
