I have reset my router 3 times because the pace of the Interent was so slow confuse. Each time it picked up, only to resume later at snails pace.

Used this one http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/

2,320 kbps (is that 2.32Mb?) down and 104 kbps up

A long way from the exchange here and lots of dodgy wiring if the amount of time spent by OpenReach is anything to go by cry

Most every other site seems to be working normally - just the forum has been really really slow......

The forum has been slow over the last day or two, and isn't up to full speed this morning although it's not as bad as it has been.

What broadband package do I need?

I am currently looking around to save some money. I pay £17.50 a month to Eclipse currently and they tell me that I regularly exceed 20Gb download a month.

Is that average - anyone else know what they use per month?

20gb a month !!!! what are you doing, providing internet access for the street ?

At Home 3.25 down 300kb up, at school just round the corner 32mb Down 42mb up !!!! i think i might move into school.

My ADSL+2 connection to BT exchange shows 7.2mb download speed, unfortunatley for me its capped going out to maidenhead at 3.2mb so should i ask for a refund ?

Christ, I get thru 20gb a week!   I pay quite a bit more than you do tho Brian, my bandwidth gets throttled rather than capped.

Our BT broadband on ancient 1930's wiring in a tin shack exchange goes up and down like a whores draws!!
I never seem to get to see all of the utube video clips because they are too slow to download

Perhaps I should moove to somewhere that has high speed cable.. fiberoptik connection... like Cornwall!!!!
our broadbans is so slow... probably slowest in UK ??

First off my computer flased up all warnings of unaproved site etc

when it allowed me to access the speedcheck I got
0.73Mb/s download
0.37 Mb/s upload
63ms ping and that maidenhead is 50 mi

I am a computer numpty I must admit... but I can file a block of brass completely square!
so how do I get my Honda 4 stroke computer up to KTM 2 smoke speeds!

For where you are brian acceptable.

Torr, i suggest you find someone local who is a Good qualified IT Technician not a mate who knows a bit nono to take a look at your suffering PC as 0.73mb download is slow, PM me your postcode and i will take a look at where your exchange is in relation to your house and see if its a distance problem.
