"Ow Mooch"   always thought this was the Lancastrian battle cry

and the yanks price is expensive in most of the Persian Gulf states its around  1 Ryall a gallon   about 15p

Water on the other hand costs 30p a litre  you dont want to run a traction engine here

That's far to expensive! just been to Oman. Petrol is about 17 pence a litre and someone fills the tank for you.

I was going to do a brief post anyway but not sure if anyone was interested. We did a half day trip throught the Wahiba Sands desert on quad bikes, first time my wife had ever been on one and it was mind blowing. We were staying in a so called bedouin tented camp. www.desertnightscamp.com Not cheap but a fantastic experience. They will take you on a 3 or 4 day trip through the desert on Quad bikes, camels or Land Cruisers.

I can recommend Oman as a holiday destination. See pics of transport options

There off to a MX meet in the back is a CAM 400 ELX  with a long range tank, a great piece of kit good in the sand wink.

They are obviously taking them TRAIL RIDING and will be meeting the other riders at Bovey Tracey to go over Dartmoor.
After their ride they put them back in the ute and go home to wash them down.

The thing that still puzzles me is, how do you reverse a camel into a pick up, no longer than itself and get it to lie down!

Maybe it doesn't have legs and that's why it's in the pick up.

or.....it does have legs and it's doing a Fred Flintstone. I didn't look under the pick up.

Talking of the Flintstones, a new Middle East crisis erupted last night as Dubai Television was refused permissionto broadcast 'The Flintstones'.

A spokesman for the channel said...." A claim was made that the people in Dubai would not understand the humour, but wehave heard that the people in Abu Dhabi do"

Well that proves it, someone in Oman must have seen an episode of the Flintstones and didn't get the joke, so stuck the legs of his camel through holes in the pick up floor. Poor sod, no wonder he looked tired.
