There were a lot of riders out and about on Exmoor today, competing in the Neil Westcott Long distance trial. There were some pretty harsh conditions up here, with many roads still covered in frozen snow. I guess the dirt sections may have not been so bad, but well done to anyone who entered. I really didn't envy them out there today!

It would appear that I am quite grumpy today; strangely, I didnt notice this until I came into contact withidiots.
If it was anything like down in the South Hams it was -2, sheet ice everywhere and even the mud was frozen! The tyres would not cut through as normal, very tricky indeed! A good, different day out!! ;o)
Years ago i did the Bristal long distance trial we had black ice you slid bolt upright to every T junction you got quit good at it sliding up to the white line ? alot of folk went down hard that day one lane near the end had icey puddles i went down in a deep one ,very cold wet one side of me looked like ide dipped in chocolate lol, all on a converted air cooled Husqvarna cr250 with a broken kick start not fun bump starting it in the lanes ? i finished :
What a briiliant day, Cold but brilliant Must say a big thanks to all involved, especially the the marshals etc standing about in that weather - THANKS
