The Torotrail Tapas - Now with pictures

Good evening Sir, what can I offer you today?

How about a gentle bimble along unsurfaced woodland roads for starters?
Or maybe Sir would prefer a bit of singletrack amongst the trees?
Could I tempt you with a few challenging climbs or a rutted descents to test your nerve and ability? We can tailor it to suit your own taste.
Perhaps a visit to 'The Dreads' would put a tingle in your taste buds?

For a main course, we are offering miles of breathtaking Andalucian mountain passes with a dusting of rocks and vertiginous drops.
Our specials  tonight include the 'Canyon'  - a narrow, winding, sandy trail between high cliffs with a Wall of Death on the side.
Also on our specials is 'Vietnam' - a battle against the forces of nature as you fight your way down-river through thick vegetation and deep water a la rainforest.

For afters, how about a session hooning around a gravel pit or a gentle cruise back through the forest? You could even take to your seat and enjoy the sweeping, winding tarmac roads, should you desire it.

And after your day's riding on the superbly capable, well-maintained WR250, including a great lunch at a restaurant along the way, why not head back to the superb villa for a swim, or a soak in the hot tub with a cold beer before heading off to a top local restaurant for a fantastic meal and good company?

The variety of riding available is fantastic - it is the stuff of childhood dreams. The bikes are proof that you  really don't want any more than a well set up 250 for any of this terrain. All the gear is good quality and comfortable.

We had a fantastic few days at Torotrail near Malaga. Many thanks to Lyndon, Bas, Cas & Jas (and Dino) for their hospitality and help during our stay. I wanted to stay for a few more days, and would like to go back (when the weather is a little warmer and dryer, maybe?). We even have photographic evidence of 'Gasser' Edwards having a lie-down in the mud (photos to follow).

If you make the sensible decision to fly down to Malaga for a few days, let Lyndon know that you are TRF, and you may even get a special deal!

Thanks again guys.

Alex

The Torotrail Tapas

The below images show (in no particular order, just the order they were uploaded. Feel free to add your own captions where appropriate:

- The Dreads (and me failing to make the top AGAIN)
- The Canyon (and Fenn landing hard!)
- Vietnam
- The climb out of Hell Hole
- Mark 'Gasser' Edwards (and 2 others) taking a muddy dip
- 4 men in a tub
- The Torotrail base
- A few shots of the various 'playgrounds' around the base
- Lyndon with a 'light snack', and Mark with a serious kebab!
- Fenn nursing his ribs with an appropriately named 'Rider' beer
- Mending the 1st WR125 - 'It just came off in my hand Guv!'
- Mending the 2nd WR125 - 'Its not made for bumpy conditions!'
[Suffice to say, the 250's took everything we could throw at them, the 125's didn't, and so didn't come out to play again after the first day.]
- The steamy confines of 'Vietnam'
- 'Emily' - A role model for children everywhere.

I've just realised that there's loads of pictures of people falling off, and not many of the riding through the breathtaking scenery - that's simply because we were either riding, or looking at the breathtaking scenery. It's only when people fell off that we had time to take pictures!
